Dixotomia's supporting cast includes Esmeralda Ortega, Raul Vergis, Simon Azaryan, Vincent Zhou, Miranda, Rajesh Sanktar, Said Hassan, Johnny Flaherty and the Tallums. Most of them are ordinary working people in a company town: medics, officers, miners, nurses and researchers. Each gets a line or two below.

Who works for Tibet Innovations?

Several supporting characters belong to the corporation that owns Karna. The company itself is covered in Tibet Innovations: the corporation that owns Karna.

• Raul Vergis. A Tibet lieutenant in a full-face mask. The lore calls him cheerfully indiscreet, which means he tends to say more than he should. Masks are a recurring image in the setting, and his is one of several.
• Simon Azaryan. A Colonel and the head of Tibet security, the private army that the company calls a security service. Edward Price is his deputy.
• Rajesh Sanktar. Co-lead with Otto Stern of the research the lore calls the Sanktar-Stern silicon cycle.
• The Tallums. Tibet's co-founders and the hereditary enemies of the Eidenharts, the family that holds Karna.

Who are the medical staff?

Two supporting characters work in medicine, in very different places:

• Esmeralda Ortega. A senior medic based at Tibet HQ. The lore deliberately leaves her allegiance ambiguous, so the way to read her is by what she does and not by what she says.
• Miranda. A medwatch nurse on the Ariadna, a United Hyperspace transport with a hold kilometres deep. She looks after the sleepers on the long trip to Karna.

Who comes from the Federation?

The Federation's side of the cast is small but important:

• Vincent Zhou. A Guard-Major, which is a Guards Corps rank, and the escort to Aurora Devaldo.
• Johnny Flaherty. A Captain-Inspector with the Federation Inspectorate and Reynor's friend from the academy. He is sarcastic, profane and funny, with thick dark hair and a scar from mid-forehead to right cheekbone.

Who are the miners?

The miners are the people the whole setting depends on, and the lore gives one of them a name.

Said Hassan is a miner from Mine 17. The incident that carries that name is the starting point of the story: 28 of the 42 miners in Deep Shaft 17 came up with a fever of 40°C and no diagnosis. Hassan is one of the people behind those numbers.

Are there non-human supporting characters?

Two artificial voices belong in the cast, even though neither is a person:

• The suit AI assistant. A female electronic voice built into Reynor's suit. She routes him through buildings, overlays floorplans on his visor and reads suit telemetry to tell friend from foe.
• Sapphire. The AI associated with the Dinerite Refinery. Its knowledge base is where Alister Duncan found the possibility of a transgenic resonator, the key to a more extreme kind of augmentation.

Neither voice has a body, but both shape what the human characters know and do.

Who is part of Reynor's past?

Reynor's own circle is small. Johnny is the friend from the academy. Roxana "Roxie" is his ex-girlfriend, who left him for a blue passport and Hailong money. The profile Reynor Adams: who you play in Dixotomia covers the hero and the people who knew him before Karna.

Who is linked to whom?

Several supporting characters connect to each other, and to the main cast:

• Azaryan and Price. Azaryan heads Tibet security and Price is his deputy.
• Sanktar and Stern. Co-leads of the same research.
• Zhou and Devaldo. Zhou is the escort to the previous inspector.
• Flaherty and Reynor. Friends from the academy.
• Ortega and Stern. Both are present at Tibet HQ, one as a medic and one as the company scientist.
• The Tallums and the Eidenharts. Hereditary enemies, with Tibet in the middle.

Why do the minor characters matter?

A setting like Karna is built from ordinary people more than from bosses. The lore keeps asking who counts as a person, and the supporting cast is where that question gets answered in small ways: a miner with a name, a nurse who ages while the sleeper does not, an officer who talks too much.
